what are the blr's like for scrub hunting in middle calibers

I use a Browning BLR Belgium model in .308Win and it is very quick to point and fast to work the lever and it has a 21" barrel ,the newer ones are japan made and aluminum recievers

I have one of the older ones too in .308 and it is very accurate, the trigger is good, short and handy, fast shooting.

The Browning BLR is a good scrub rifle in .308Win so to is a old rifle not a lever but a bolt the No5 Mk 1 or "Jungle Carbine" in .303 very fast to operate and 10 round magazine and peep sights also I like the Marlin in .444Mar. and Savage 99 in .308 is pretty good too.
