The "Modern" Colour Case, aka Turnbull in the states, is VERY brilliant, vivid and quite colourful,
as compared to 1890's colour case hardening.

I don't mind the original.

The colour case hardening there is extremely striking.

But the original worn finish is just fine as far as I can see.

How does new colour case hardening on an old firearm affect its integrity. I don't mean historic integrity, but any proofing or metallurgy issues?

Maybe my old Jeffery DR could be done? Ha ha, need to win lotto for that to happen, and then why not get a "new" one.
