It just wouldn't be civilised to shoot a tiger while not wearing a necktie, would it?

And, of course, the sola topi (pith helmet) is de rigueur !

.405 WCF ........ or potentially a .35WCF?
Looks to have a Lyman 21 peepsight as well.
The necktie is good form, but it is rather ungentlemanly to use a repeater, must have been a Yank?

Barrel looks a bit too thick for it, but who knows...maybe .22 HiPower like Reverend Caldwell used!

As some of you are identifying rifle and bore size from a photo, what do you think of the double barreled jobs to either side of my Grandfather's M1910 Mannlicher Schönauer? The one held by the guide to his right looks enormous compared to the other.

Grand-dad (John F. Easton) is at center. The M1910 is, of course, 9.5X57 (.375 Nitro Express Rimless).

The photo is ca. 1932.

My first impression is the darkie is carrying a shotgun. But it does appear to have sights far back on the barrels. So maybe a bore gun of some sort.

Probably a Paradox (Explora et al) by the look of it.
