Found these boxes of fired shells at a small shop.
I thought it was neat that the original Abercrombie & Fitch Co. price stickers were still on them. $3.25 !! The Lot number on two of them is '8 I D' which I think is 1929 manufacture.

Dated 8th February 1929 or 1955 to be precise. Kynoch for some unfathomable reason used the same letter code for years of manufacture when they got to the end of the alphabet in 1951, so re-used the letters A to U until ceasing production in 1972.
A&F Co would have ceased ammo sales long before 1955 so quite rightly you have dated your ammo as 1929. Nice little find.
That is very cool. Seems to be harder and harder to find neat stuff like that as the old small shops slowly dissappear replaced by the chain sporting goods stores.
