Lovely.
I do like their scope mounts. And that peep sight!

That is nice. The peep must flip up to clear the scope bases as well as the standing rear sight. Nice - however I am not familiar with these striker mounted rear aperture sights.

The only thing not to like about that rifle is the ridiculous 90 degree bend in the bolt handle, which is characteristic of H&H Mausers. From looking at it, you would think it was a straight pull action. My Lee Navy had an almost identical knob.
It certainly doesn't contribute to the ease of cycling the rifle.

Yes that bolt handle always seems to be a specialty of H&H, I often wondered if it is easy to use or not however you have now answered the question. Thanks.
Although I don't own a rifle in that caliber it is certainly one that I find very interesting and will one day get hold of. Although first introduced in a Mauser action obviously, Winchester introduced it in their Model 70 in 1936 and I believe there are far more Model 70's in 300 H&H than there ever were made on Mauser actions. Love to have either one.

I picked up an H&H action of this type earlier this year. The bolt knob has a hole in it but it wasn't bent at a 90.

Wow, never new they did the bolts like that, interesting! I don’t think rifle has enough sights though. Thanks for posting.

Ismith, surprised H&H identied action as a Magnum Mauser cause it sure looks like an opened up standard length action.

It certainly is an opened up standard action, but I believe the act of opening it up made it a magnum action as far as H&H was concerned back then.
