My advice is to acquire 4 doubles all alike .....

I would acquire 4 doubles all alike if I could afford enough hunting to put them to use (and hopefully wear all 4 of them out).

Four of them makes decent sense in the era of front stuffers. If Searcy's doubles were priced like front stuffers, I think one could afford four of them.
