Sig Sauer 365 Pistol... 12+1 in a mini...
      #316680 - 22/05/18 10:52 PM

Picked one of these up yesterday at the local gun shop..will test once I get back home..but do like the fact its as small as a Glock 43, actually a bit smaller, yet the mags hold either 10 or 12 in the extended model...

While NOT a target pistol, its compact size will allow me to carry in the warmer weather a bit easier than the larger models I carry in the winter time..they don't do much good if they are not on you when you need one..

I’m getting one as well after our move. Interested to hear your thoughts. I’m a sig fan, carry a 224 often and shoot X5s at the range, comp, etc.

Nice little pistol. I like the 225's and even the 6's - this little fella sure is cute.

G'day Fella's,

Thanks for sharing Ripp.
Looks like a great little pistol.
Keep us posted, on how it performs, please.

Interested in seeing how it works for you. A friend of mine shot one a month ago and told me it failed to return to battery every 20 rounds or so so got sent back to Sig.

Still not seeing any reason to buy a Sig that isn’t made in W Germany or Switzerland.

That said, I’m kind of interested to build a P320 with the new B&T frame with the folding stock.

Took it to the range yesterday..shot 150 rounds through it ..cheap ammo..had NO failures to feed or any other issue...was shooting with two LEO's who I workout with..they also helped shoot the 150 rounds..

1. Has a noticeable snappy little recoil..being so small and light--even with it being a 9mm..considerable more than my S&W Shield

2. Has a very respectable trigger for factory..

3. Comes with night sights..which work..and are easy to see in most conditions

4. Was very accurate...almost stupid accurate again considering how small it is..we were shooting it at 10 yards..almost all were printing small cluster with every clip full fired even while shooting semi-rapid fire...I am sure the better than average trigger and sights have a bit to do with that..

5. And it holds 12+1 rounds...amazing for a compact..while most others are holding 6 or 7..(glock, S&W, walther, etc.)

I heard of a few issues as well when they initially became available..but have not heard of any glitches since..based on my initial shooting time, very happy so far..

My friend got his P365 back from Sig but hasn’t had a chance to shoot it yet. I’ll let you know how it does when he out with it again.

Have a friend who took his NEW Sig 365 to the range to do some shooting..would not fire...upon further inspection found the firing pin was broken..new, never fired, from the factory...

i did some checking locally at one of the local gun shops..they told me they have had several in the past few months come back with broken fire pins or other issues..allegedly there is a wear issue with the mag I was told..

Based on this, will replace the firing pin on mine..and probably keep carrying the Glock for EDC...

Interesting. I was texting my friend yesterday that had the issues with the P365, he was supposed to have shot it last week after Sig fixed it. I asked him about it but didn’t get a response. Gun shops here are demanding payment upfront for these things before they even get in the door, lots of stupid people I guess.

Edit: I need to post photos of the Cerakote job I did to my G43 when my companies website goes live. Also did a cool job on a friends P320.

Yes, please do... I did a cerakote job on my model 34...looks pretty cool..will have to search that file and see if I can find a pic..place that did it was in Ennis MT...they don't do a lot of things good, but this actually looks nice..

I snagged another 43 a few weeks back after the 365 incident...for a light top, shorts and sandals in the summer time, conceals quite nicely..

I like the finish on the 19X as well ..for a factory job..

Heard back from my friend. He put 7 boxes of ammo through his P365 and it worked fine. His magazine isn’t holding open after the last round though so he’s going to go back to Sig for a replacement.

Cool, will do. I’ve been building a good catalog of Cerakote jobs, PM me if you want to see my work, the website isn’t going to launch for 3-4 weeks.

Article on LONG TEREM review of the 365..

Personally I have been carrying this daily for the past 18 months or so.. very comfortable to carry --with the 12+1 mag--have an additional 15 round on me as well that fits nicely.. has been feeding and shooting with no issues....

Still impressed with the accuracy of these little guns. Mine has also become my primary carry with the green Lima.
