This was posted by the outfitter whom I hunted with in Kyrgyzstan in 2016..gives one an idea of the topography ..
The land rover drive was the drive to and from the main camp--at which time we took off on horses..we had much more snow when I was there than depicted in the beginning of this as I was there in mid-November...

That is quite the country, for sure. I used to be able to do that. Seems a lifetime ago now.
Waidmannsheil, "Dramatic" was a good adjective for this area.
