Old eyes, New options
      #308045 - 21/11/17 09:52 AM

G'Day Fella's,

I thought I may have already posted this here before but I can't find it, so.
FYI, here is a link to a thread on the Nosler forum.
https://forum.nosler.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=36245

Hope that helps

Nice!

After milling, did you bead-blast it or is that the

paint/finish giving it the rough, blasted, Commercial-type

dull finish?

G'Day Daryl and thank you.

I blasted it but with Garnet, not Glass Beads.
This is the same abrasive media I use to prepare metal surfaces, prior to Cerakoting.
It is more abrasive/aggressive than glass beads, and in this instance, gives it a good grippy surface.
I use the two, rear flared out wings of the mount, to retract the slide with, and this added grippy surface helps.

Regards

Hey Homer - have you got one to replace the rear sight on a S&W Model 29?

G'Day Fella's,

Unfortunately Daryl, no.
But here is a link to Brownell's; https://www.brownells.com/optics-mountin...t-prod7581.aspx

Also, some reflex red dot sights manufacturers (Leupold, ? model), supply a variety of bases, to suit different handguns.

Hope that helps
