I'd like to know what happened to George Michael ???
Not the singer I mean the South African hunter and author.
I can't remember the name of his book but I believe he was involved in making "Skabenga - the Killer lust" and "African Album" a series in the 70's ? about a professional hunter.
In his book he left Africa and migrated to the U.S.
I would be particularly interested in a copy of Skabenga (no Turner movies doesn't have it) and African Album.
George used to own a gunshop in Pretoria. He was a bit of a showman and used to kick off many of his big-game hunts with an oxwagon and full crew through the streets of Pretoria before setting off to the hunting grounds.
A good friend of mine here in SA owns his 10,75x68 Type A Mauser that he wrote about so extensively. It still shoots and is in good condition.
