I think you hunted at the end of the dry when most of the cover has burnt off or died down
there are very thick jungle areas up there & thick Mangrove forest & around salt pans
Useing light rifles on Big Bull Bovines with out back will get you hurt one day , like the guys who shot deer with 243s which works until they loss a big trophy stag , which know one knows about , but it,s hard to hide a good stomping !!




I pretty much use my .450 on all bovines plus elephant.

One day the .404 will get a look in.

Though I have used the 9.3mm and the .375 as well.
