My S&W Model 19 Trio is complete
      #301733 - 14/06/17 02:54 AM

It took me a few years, but I finally got all three of the mass produced barrel lengths available for the Model 19 from 1967 until production ceased on the Model 19 in 1999. The 6" and 4" are both a 19-3 and the 2.5" is a 19-4. All three are pinned and recessed. Many more variants out there, but this is what I wanted to complete first. You know it wasn't as easy as some people would have you believe. The P&R Smiths aren't as common as they used to be and I believe that might go double for the P&R Model 19 examples.

Thanks. When shooting they wear Pachmayr grips, but for photos the wood stocks go on.

Nice collection Checkman!
The model 19 is my favorite S&W. A 6" version with the target hammer and trigger was my first handgun back in the early 80's. My 2nd was a 4" barrel that I carried as a duty weapon until the switch to the semi automatic Beretta 92.
I much preferred my model 19!

Yes the 19 is a great revolver. I mostly shoot 38 Special in it. The last thing I want to do is risk cracking the forcing cone (especially since the spare barrels have dried up). When I do shoot magnum loads it will be 158 grain JSP.
