Steve

I like the vests. I think a vest like this in a dark brown or dark tan would be very nice.

Especially with a "NitroExpress" logo on the left breast strap !

PS When I am going to get the photos of the sexy model wearing one to post? Or did Susan intercept my email.

Sorry John,

She got to it first!

The one in the image is black but mine will be dark brown. You can't see in in the photograph but the back has two zip pockets with an option of either being flat or bellows and the front has three zip/popper pockets of varying sizes on each side......the largest ones are easily big enough for GPS/small camera etc......and as you say bullet loops on each side. The loops are custom made for a clients particular calibre.

If you wear that on a safari, you'll probably get arrested.

Trust me, I'm a Professional Hunter! .....the practicalities of this are wonderful!

Think of all that crap we hang from our belts such as GPS, first aid kit, knives, and then you spend half your life hitching it all up .......this utility vest cures it all!

Steve, Steve, Steve... I respect your utilitarian approach to garments, but... uh, how do I say this respectfully...?

Hummm... well, that vest sortof looks like a bondage accessrory sold in an S&M shop.

Like it oughta come with a "ball-gag."

Sorry

Guys Guys, it would only be weird if he wore skin tight leaderhosen, no shirt and a matching eyepatch to go with it.

Actually I like it. How much in dark brown Buffalo?

Mickey,
We're still tied up with pricing, producing an e-brochure for the entire range and possibly a website.....if you would like to let me have an e-mail address I'll be happy to send you the info when it's ready.

Each one is individually tailored to fit and it's also possible to customise your order to your own specification (within reason). On my personal one I've sacrificed one of the top zipped pockets and replaced it with an open bellows pocket just large enough to take my compact bino's.

The two largest of the front pockets (one on either side) is easily large enough to take GPS etc.

Erik,

YES! Bloody positive!

Steve,

All joking aside, an equipment vest is a good idea, and has after all been used in one form or the other by the military for decades. A vest certainly does spread the load better than having everything hanging on a belt.

Erik,

That's exactly what I figured.......I've found that over the years I've accumulated an increasing number of things on my belt and it was driving me crazy......This vest will be the answer.

Steve

Have you tried one on yet with a load in the front? It seems as if it would pull up in the back and wear on your neck. Perhaps a couple of straps that would loop around yur belt.

Mickey,

I've had a few outings wearing one and not had a problem but I'm sure that the more weight you put in it the more chance there is of it riding up.......although there would be no problem with putting a strap or belt loop from the bottom of the vest.

Whenever I've worn one I've had 10 x .500 bullets and a few other odds and ends but no sat phone or GPS.

At first the black one threw me a bit too. Then I thought about it in dark brown or dark tan. Then I remembered a guy who had a shotshell vest almost the same and it was great but expensive and impossible to source.

I think it would work.

Price is always a problem.......we considered lots of ways to bring the price down on the entire collection but at the end of the day you would save a few dollars by such things as substituting solid brass for brass plate and swopping to less expensive hides etc.....but then you end with a second best item rather than something that is absolutely top quality.......and we just couldn't bring ourselves to do that.......we would rather sell fewer items and have 100% satisfied clients than sell more cheaper items and end up with clients who are disappointed.

We've built our entire business on the same policy and find it works for us.

The other advantage of having everything hand made is that each client can have whatever changes he or she may want.

Steve

I think everybody who hunts has, at one time or another, thought abut the ideal garment or way to carry odds and ends.

I had a local lady who makes Polypro ski garments make me a pullover (jumper). I love it to hunt in in the cold and she has made 6-8 others for friends of mine who liked it. Everyone is different, depending on the individual, and if I had another one made I would change it too.

Steve,

I'd really love one if it was set up so you could put a Camelback bladder in the back section - this would also help the weight distribution problem (if there is one).
