Some are referring to this as "A Game Changer".....?
      #294238 - 24/01/17 04:02 PM

G'Day Fella's,

I'm not sure if I seen this posted on here but FYI.
http://www.themakogroup.com/ftbullseye
and
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvFUO4vrsEM

It does look the goods (in theory) but in my experience, a lot of practice would be required to move on from the tradition sighting system.

Edited by Homer;
I was having a bit of a think about this Meprolight sight, and I'm wondering if just a slight brain adjustment, would also achieve the same outcome?
What I mean by this is, just imagine you are using a conventional Front-Rear sight set up but with a slight rethink of the usual sight picture method, of target acquisition? It's hard to put what I mean, into words.

Hope that helps

Doh!

I saw that sight last year. Looks interesting, I would be interested to try one out. My experience with red dots on pistols is that it's easy to lose the dot, I would assume this might help in that regard by providing an anchor for the eye.

I've recently put a Trijicon RMR on my G19 that cowitnesses with a set of suppressor height sights. The front sight is an aid to the eye while bringing the gun up making it easy to then transition to the red dot. Otherwise, it's easy to lose the frame of reference and the dot.

I think that system is great. Shouldn't take any change to the mind etc. Just put the bullseye on target. Should even work on rifles. In effect you have the front and rear sight in the same focal plane. No quite as quick as say an Aimpoint where the dot is very easy to pick up and keep unlike a lot of the holographic sights.

With my failing eye sight I think I will have to track one of those down for my Glock. I can see the rear sight clearly but the front is fuzzy, not what you want.

Wouldn't be interested in any sight "powered" by tritium. If you want a useless redundant sight in a few years which will rely ONLY on ambient light, go for a crappy tritium sight.

Nice to see I have received a pleasant response to this post here.
Nothing could be further from the truth on this Sth African forum;

And this is after all the really nasty and derogatory posts, have been deleted!

Nitro-X, the oldest Trijicon sight I own, is a 20+ year old Reflex sight, and it is still going strong!
So Tritium, isn't just a 10 or 12 year thing and then fades away. You ca always return the sight to the factory, and they will update the the Tritium "bits".
