To my knowledge, the Oak Ridge match is the successor to the match formerly held in Kentucky. Sadly, the Kentucky match is no more.

I think the focus should be with Rick's match at Oak Ridge, which just occurred April 19-20, 2024. That match has the potential to grow.

There are matches to consider at Friendship, Indiana. The last I heard, they are wanting to organize something similar to what we had in Kentucky (which was an offshoot of the Friendship matches).

Were you at Rick's last match? I was there - my debut at that event.

Curl,

I was at the 1st match and thought it was really great. Chris was also at the 1st match.

I planned to be at the 2nd match but unfortunately, I missed that match because I recently fractured a vertebrae.

I pinned an article on the 1st match that was printed in the March issue of the SSE (Single Shot Exchange). If you want, I can email a copy to you.

Rick has an article with pictures for the SSE.

It looked like there was a very good turnout for the second match.

I tried to link this match up with the HBSA (Historical Breechloading Smallarms Association) which holds rook rifle matches in the UK. Hoiwever, the rules of their matches are very different and we could not resolve the differences (They allow scopes, shoot at different distances, and shoot prone).

I would like to see this match grow because it is a great way to shoot neat rifles with friends.
