Oh boy - isn't that nice~!
My old friend, now passed, Wil, had a 16 bore W&C Scott 16 bore, bar and wood, in condition quite similar to this 8 bore. What a delightful pelter.(my word for pellet shooter)

This one is a safe queen. I have only fired two rounds in it. But I do shoot this one.

That IS very nice and superb condition

W&C Scott made many, if not most of Holland & Holland's doubles, rifles and shotguns prior to H&H building their works in 1892 (and other maker's)

Oh that would be fun in the dove fields or duck marsh!
With 10 gauge chamber inserts it should be legal to use.

The gun in the last pic's weighs almost 16lbs and has 36" barrels and the W&C Scott weighs 14lbs and has 34" barrels. I may have to check into that insert thing. I am pretty sure you cant use them in the US for dove or duck. Not even with chamber inserts. Its federal and they go buy the shell not the actual bore diameter. But I can use them for squirrels and turkey in Ga.

Wayne, that's why I suggested the chamber inserts. If one is using 10 gauge shells, it should be withing the law. Just an over bored 10 gauge.
But then again that would be reasonable, not usually within the realm of the federal bureaucracy!

I miss stated my self. They go by the original chamber size not shell size. The other guys that I know who have 8's have checked into this and they say it cant be done. There are a few of them that are working on getting the laws changed. But so far no luck on the federal laws. They did get Arizona to change its law to allow turkey and small game.

Here, bores larger than 10 cannot legally be used for migratory game birds - any migratory game birds. That is a federal law.

As I understand it it is actually part of an international treaty. England and Scotland didn't sign the treaty so there residents are allowed to use 8bors.
