Not as bad as I thought it would be..

Read an article recently, forge the author, but the writer was going over a list of buddies who have had detached retina's, shoulder issues, etc from heavy recoiling rifles...personally I am not real excited about having a detached retina..:)

Wow, thats a very impressive amount of sound suppression and recoil reduction!
Thank You for sharing Daryl! The following video on Ceramic Body Armour, is also an interesting watch.

When it comes to suppressing a .50 BMG, I always think of the 250ish grains of powder being burnt, in each cartridge!
Thats a lot of expanding gas and heat, to contend with.

Already have the Shoulder issues - and damn glad none of my rifles are lightweights. I do not want eye problems too.

I did shoot a .338 Lapua at the range a couple months ago - kicked less than my .243 but was so LOUD! it's muzzle break was incredibly effective in reducing recoil.
