A friend of mine has 2 or 3 of them. One is still in the original box. At my age I shouldn't be buying collectables, just can,t help myself. Al

Nice shooting handgun, usually with tight (small) groove diameters compared to Smiths - never owned one- but they do feel good and shoot well.

G'Day Fella's,

I used to have an 8" Blued Python (that I purchased New off the Oz agent (Peter P), for a good price).
Incredibly accurate revolver, even with maximum loads (16grns of Win-296 and 158grn pills), and better than I could ever shoot it.

Not sure if Colt are still making them.....again..........again?

Doh!

I also have had several through the years..including the 8"..still might have one or two ..but agree..smoothest factory revolver I have ever used...

And man have the prices of the "snake" series Colts gone through the roof in the past couple years...

Yes Ripp, they "WERE" an incredible factory revolver!
I have subsequently had a look on the Colt web site, and they longer list any double action revolvers.

Double Doh!!

There is a gun shop I visit on a regular basis that has a stainless King Cobra --6" I have been eyeing for a bit..think the price they have on it is a bit high, but the next time I walk through there and its still there I plan to give it a new home...

G'Day Fella's,

Ripp, your a long time looking at the lid mate!
I worked out a long time ago, if all the bills are paid, there are cloths and shoes on the families back/feet and the pantry is full, the worst possible thing you can say in life is "GEE I WISH"!!!

Love the sayings you guys have... "looking at the lid"...did the same thing with a few girls in high school..

By college I figured out they don't mind a little looking under the lid..or in this case, cookie jar..

I did find a "new" stainless Gold Cup in the box...it now resides in my home... the other one is still there waiting for a new home...

A fine revolver indeed. I own a pre-war (WWII) Colt Officer's Model Target with the 6" heavy barrel. Great target revolver. Even at the age of seventy-five mine is still a tack driver.

My Colt is a Single Action Army, 7-1/2 inch, .45 Colt. My favorite handgun of many.

There are many duplicates but agree, the SAA is one of a kind that I too truly enjoy..
