Interesting he almost always rests the forend or barrels on the shooting sticks or a fallen log/branch in a stream when aiming and shooting. Not putting his hand in between as is usually recommended.

Comments anyone? Does this really affect impact accuracy or not?

John, I have tried resting the barrel and stock against solid items-trees, branches, car - and the shot goes wide in the opposite direction of the rest. Have only done this with single barreled rifles. If it does not change his point of impact to much ha can sight in doing it this way.

ALL my life I have never shot against a hard item without bracing with my hand..whether its the
webbing..just a finger or whatever..have tried it before not doing it and in my case shot went off the mark..

Are you sure he isn't still bracing on some of the webbing of his hand as he is holding the sticks in the beginning...?? hard for me to make out..watched several times..

Just re watched it and the shot at the Hippo was made with the barrels only resting on the sticks.
