Utah Double Rifle Builders

Hi, I am looking for anybody who builds their own double rifles here in Utah, whether on an existing action or from the ground up, who would be willing to teach me how build one. I am currently in school to be a machinist and have only about 5 weeks left till I receive my certification and currently work as a machinist, though I am still "green" and don't have my own shop or machines. I've always wanted a double, but I will never be able to afford one. And who knows, a hobby and even a friendship may come out of this. I look forward to getting to know everybody here.

I don't know any double rifle builders in Utah but I am more than willing to help you out if I can. I built my first double rifle with the help of a couple different guys who had the know how and the machines, I just paid them to do some of the more difficult parts. I did have a small lathe that I could use to turn down barrels but no mill.

You can do the same thing if you really want to. I will be glad to head you in the right direction on a couple of different procedures and if you are interested just send me a P.M. and we will visit about this. Bob
