What a sweet old girl. A nice pick up.

What plans do you have for it?

Cheers

Well done!

An interesting old gun for sure.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers, Roy.

Yes, a bit of a beater, but with a good bore. Plans? I have none really, except to clean it up a bit and shoot it.

Just curious, but what sort of "plans" would someone with more ambition than myself have for a rifle like this? Its just a cut-down old (circa 1895?)commercial Lee-Speed .303 II*. The bore is relatively good with what seems to be Metford rifling...barrel is stamped "Nitro Proof"...But what "plan" could someone have for it?...try to make it into a proper Lee-Speed sporter with a new barrel, express sights, better wood, etc? Try to find an original full stock wood set or a duplicate of one and restore it back to original configuration? The barrel is still full length. Both projects would seem relatively expensive, time-consuming and in the case of restoration, likely impossible. Perhaps part it out? Maybe I don't have enough imagination, or too much...
