I have what I understand to be an early - '93? - Mauser by Ludw.Loewe. Ser No. A6117
Barrel appears to be a replacement in .25.303 and in good nick.
Front of the action has been stippled - not chequered - and I cant determine whether that was done to hide other markings. Stock is painfully thin at the butt, but itherwise appears to be more-or-less a classic sporter with a pancake cheekpiece. I'd say that it has been refinished at some time.
Actual model date has been removed by someone drilling the side of the action to fit a scope mount.
Not valuable, but an interesting little "mongrel", all the same.
