iirc Ferlini found the gold treasue in the first pyramide he was looking. after he escape the native's from the next village start to destroy one pyramid after another in the hope of similar luck.
the native in the orient have seen such building as worthless all the century's. only good for finding a gold treasure.
Hermann, Fürst Pückler give first hand informations about this advanture in his book "in Mehmet Ali's county" 1844 he had got from native's there when being in Meroe in 1842 or 1843. in this year they had allready destroy a lot of pyramids without find anything.
