Medium-bore doubles----what scope?

For those of you who shoot medium-bore double rifles (9.3x74R etc) what scope do you use? Brand? Power? Reticle?

...investigated just this question a couple of years ago, and concluded that a zeiss v/mv 1.5-6 (with its enhanced fov) was best suited for my 9.3 for 100 - 200 yard hunting chores...

My Chapuis is fitted with a Schmidt & Bender 1.5-6 x 42 rail scope. Is way more than I'd buy had I paid new prices for it.

May be the brightest medium power scope I've seen.

I have a 9.3 with a Ziess 1.5x6 and a 400 with a 1.75x6 Leupold. The optics of the Ziess are far superior but it is heavy. All in all I would go with the Leupold again.

...yes, 11.2 oz (leupold) vs. 15 oz (zeiss)...i suppose it comes down to whether variable power of up to 6x is important for your hunting requirements...

Wouldn't it be nice if someone made a long eye relief scope for doubles? About an extra 2" so end of scope was over or just a little ahead of the end of the barrels.

A South African company, "Lynx" gets scopes made in Japan which are about the same quality as Leupold but about half the price and one scope they make is a long eye relief 4x - alloy tube, 1". The cost is a slight decrease in field of view.

I've got a real rough (eg wrist broken and held together by wrapping in fibreglass cloth covered with leather) Cogswell and Harrison extractor rechambered from 375 2 1/2" to 375 H&H Flanged and re regulated by Vic Pederson. I got it real cheap. I've mounted a Lynx extended eye relief 4x on a Weaver rail and it is faster to access the chambers to extract fired shells and reload compared to my other scoped doubles which have ejectors.

If only Swarovski would make a 1-4x28 (the ocular may as well be the same size as the objective as you can only mount as low as the ocular in this situation) I think it would be the perfect Dr/drilling scope.

In terms of standard scopes I love my 1.5-6x42 30mm Swarovskis but they are big and heavy.

I have 2 scopes for my Chapuis 9,3x74R double rifle. Both are in the Chapuis pivot mounts and go back to zero when taken on/off. The first is a Leupold 2.5 to 8 with the heavy duplex. I have taken game as close as 17 yards and as far 271 yards, coyote, [lazered after the shots, both the right and left shots hit him] with this scope. I really like the heavy duplex.
My PH suggested it might be a good idea to have an illuminated reticle for the leopard and lion over bait.
So I got a Swarovski 1.5-6x42 with the illuminated circle dot reticle. I really like this scope. I used it for all my plains game in Zimbabwe. My longest shot was on a Kudu at just over 300 yards.
Of all the illuminated reticle scopes I have looked at I like this reticle the best. It works great in normal light, and the illuminated feature has enough adjustment so it works when looking into shadows in daytime or when used at night.
The Swarovski is my primary scope for this rifle, I will use the Leupold for a spare.

I have a 8x57r that I mounted a tasco titan 30mm scope. It's a 1.25-4.5x26. It was the only 30mm scope I had unmounted when I got the rifle, so I used it.

It actually works very well and I actually prefer it to my leupold 1.5-5x20. I has quite alot of eye relief, certainly more then either of my schmit&benders, not as bright, but for 2000$ less it certainly works well.
