IMHO, better a Ford than a GM (Government Motors) vehicle..

I had nothing but Chevy trucks my entire life..after GM did the bailout with Obama I have purchased 2 Fords since..will never buy another GM vehicle in my lifetime..but, that's just me..

Every US manufactor over the years has taken a bail out from the Fed. Ford included in the 1970's Problem with GM it was a Takeover. They are run buy there union, owned by the US taxpayer. We still consider ourselves GM people but oddly I drive a Honda Ridgey, Wife has a Mazda, Daughters have a Honda Ele' and a Nissan Pathfinder.........RV we just bought is a Ford F53 underneath......:):):)

Interesting looking ride, John.

LOL. I switched to a Dodge truck a few years ago. Had a Ramcharger back in 97, though that was a decent truck.
I still missed my Chevy's.

I bought a used Dodge 3/4 ton 5.9 Diesel back in the late 90's and it was a good truck, but too rough riding for my back. Had to get rid of it around 2004.

I then tried a Ford Exploader - poor mileage - horrid mileage around town, wonderful on the highway and a smooth ride, but too small to pull my boat safely. Needed a newer vehicle and one that was larger. Traded that in on the Dodge 1/2 ton Hemi I have now. Great mileage in town and on the highway.

The reason I didn't get another Chevy a that time, is the bumpers on their trucks were plastic when I wanted another one.

Chev, Ford and Dodge all got money bailouts from the Government back when that was going on. Chev paid their 'loan' back inside 2 years. The others didn't and probably still haven't.

What I'd like now, is a Duramax 3/4 or 1 ton, Denali - not going to happen at close to $100,000.00.

My wife drives a Jetta - her second. Daughters are driving a Buick and a Nissan.

LOL - just made a deal - heading up to the Fort - (Ft. St. John) tomorrow and will be picking up my new Ford XLT F350 Diesel on Monday, then driving home same day. Buddy from there came down to "town" last Friday and totalled his Ford truck in the Pine Pass. They (he and his wife) walked away from the accident- VERY lucky, so we're buying a pair of new 2015 Fords in his home town - a good deal. That will put us in good form for trailering around next year after my wife retires - "hey let's follow the Salmon" she says - no need to twist my arm!!!!!!!

Just doing that, will take us from May for Steelhead, through to mid October for Northern Coho. In the middle, are springs, chum, pinks, sockeye, coho and then the northern coho run in the end of September in the Kitimat and Northern Coho in the Skeena system in mid October.
