Not wrong there Lancaster!
That bloke always does a nice job of narration & explaining how an action works including field stripping in some cases!

Very strange. Interesting system however doubt action strength.

I have a 30-06 and a 45-70 side by side rifle by Baikal. I also modified a 12 gauge side by side into a slug gun. My problem has always been champagne and caviar tastes on a generic diet coke and fritos budget.

At 12,000psi & under for modern shot-shells, the action probably will work just fine.

With BP loads, that would be under 7,000psi, I'd expect.

A 1905 design by a Henri Rieger, Paris, France. Most likely made for Rieger in Liege, Belgium. A very early over-under. My shotgun collecting friend has one in his collection. Shot it once. Another example in the St. Etienne, France, firearms museum. Likely as strong as any break open o/u.
