LEC 1* to sporter

Well I have picked up a 'bubba'd' LEC 1* action made in 1900 with a latter barrel screwed into it and mismatched wood so my long term plan is to turn it into a sporter along the Lee Speed lines that I have watched others create here. This will not be a quick project but a fun one to end up with a nice handy trim rifle.

All suggestions are welcome

And here goes an attempt to load a photo via photo bucket, hold thumbs that it works.

Hi Bidgee,
Great find. Does the Carbine bolt match the action? I have a very similar 1902 BSA to do the same thing with. I'll watch with interest.

Les, it has the original bolt body but the bolt head was changed when the barrel was swapped. The bolt head reads BA42.

Bidgee, great looking project. I have a 1902 model which I intend to do the same with as well, when I get time. I think you will enjoy the build up.

Thanks Waidmannsheil, I always seem to be time poor but a bloke has to have a few projects to keep life interesting. My LEC action is stamped 1900.
