Hey guys, did any British companies make an under/over pre-WW2 that can be had for not a small fortune? I seem to be only able to find Boss's and Purdeys. Who else made them and what models? How much do they run for etc?

Westley amd Woodward (the Westley o/u always looked clunky to me). I think Daly did as well. Depends on your definition of a small fortune ! best, Mike

They're all a bit too much for me. I didn't recall seeing a cheapish (say..under $5000) U/O in that time period.

Ash, I reckon you´ll need at least 7-9k GBP unless you buy something that needs work, i.e. new barrels, restocking etc. If it is in good nick you could probably double that amount Sorry, there just aren´that many. best

Thanks Mike, i didn't think there were any. Not a worry, one day when i can afford one, ay?
Really I'm at the age i shouldnt be buying more rifles, should be saving for a house and everything.. That's why i try and keep purchases low budget :P
I looked up the Woodward and Westley. Didn't mind the Westley, but you're right, did look bigger than a Woodward. I got to see a few at Champlins and for some reason they just look so much different and better than modern U/O's.
