Winter hunting for wild boar
      #259968 - 04/02/15 09:20 PM

I think it's been a little hunting pictures at the end, so I figured contribute with a wild boar hunt. Last Sunday I was out there in the morning and was looking for wolf tracks, but found none. Then we tried to get some wild boar to move, but it was not inside. What does a hunter do in the evening if there is opportunity for more hunting? Well, go out to the place where we feed the wild boars. After half an hour there came a pig, which was a little shy and did not want to go out into the light. After a while it came back and it was an easy shot at 20 meters. Male Wild boar of 80 kg. Blaser R93, .308, Zeiss V8, North Fork 165g. /Staffan

Looks different from when I there, whiter!

Staffan feeds his wild boar at night with stale bread from a bakery. Throwing it out and around in the night, after a while one hears rusling in the dark, snorting and grunting. When a light is shined lots of little piggy eyes reflected before they may quickly move off again.

Does it make it easier to shoot the same during the day .... ah next day when doing a drive in the same area, not a boar seen! Sad, because I wanted to shoot one!

Well done Staffan. When I visit again one day, I hope to eat some wild boar! Yum. Good to speak to you on the phone last week. This week, flat out, got a phone call Wednesday morning, ALL my vineyards to be picked in the three days and nights as I was told the winery was closing for vintage 4 pm on Friday. How many hours in a day ... can a person being in three places all at the same time ... Be great after 4 pm on Friday though!
