Where to source chopper lump barrels
      #258807 - 09/01/15 12:18 AM

Hi all,

I thought I was on to a good thing, finding out that Border Barrels in the UK were offering chopper lump double rifle barrels. They seem to have closed down though? At least their website is no longer up. Does anyone know of an alternate source for chopper lump barrels?

Try Google.

I found http://www.theexplora.com/chris-kay-of-microfinish-barrels-mr-chopper-lump/ very quickly.

I know that some of the Ferlach, Austria shops build them and IIRC may are made in Spain.

Thanks Mike, had a look at the link you supplied. I will try and track down Chris, he doesn't seem to have a website, but obviously knows his trade if WR are using him. I have been in touch with a company in Ferlach, but our correspondence dried up pretty quickly, the language barrier may have been an issue and they did not reply to my queries. After posting this I remembered Effebi in Italy make tubes...if anyone else is interested.
