WW Greener 303 converstion

Gents

I have a WWGreener double rifle that was chambered for 303, but some clown thought it wise to try and convert it to 410 shotgun. Given that the barrels was probably shot out, this was the option they thought best.

However the conversion wasnt a success.

I was hoping for some advice on rebarrelling to 9.3x74 as this is a very practical cartridge here in my neck of the woods.

Is this little action capable of handling this round? The fact that the barrels was drilled to .45 means that I cannot rebore to 9.3?

Finally, any references as to who can undertake such a job and what sort of cost would I be looking at?

Thanks in advance.

If it were in the US that wouldn't be that much of a problem. Shipping back and forth may be a problem. But in your neck of the woods I don't know.

This place does work for the larger English Makers with re-boring and I would guess lining also.

If the barrels were to be cut off and use the remaining monoblock used to set new barrels into then our own member 'BIRDHUNTER50' would be my personal choice.

Hello Gunship, you could approach Ralp Badenhorst or Craig Klintworth from Mkonto Manufacturing for advice, both have websites for the contact info. Im sure they would want to see the gun before advising on possibilities. As for cost I'm sure it wont be cheap, I would hazard a guess at R40K and up. Please let us know how you progress, and post some pics if you can!

Tread two new barrel blanks and re-line the set of barrels from chamber to muzzle?
