What a silly list to get some advertising for the backpack he lists, which now means he doesn't need a plastic garbage bag anymore ...

Yes he does need the garbage bag, what the hell else is he gonna put a deer heart and liver in?

Most of what he mentions is common sense, to most people. Amazing the number of people who don't even pack a lighter or matches when in the bush.

We are doing pocket kits with the scouts right now. And in doing reaserch of what the "you need" items in most common commercial "survival" kits a large portion of the public is in danger from their own ineptitude.
