Load help needed-urgent

A friend in Belgium is building a 500/450Musket #2 on a Martini Action. The gun is at the proof house in Belgium. To have it proofed he needs a 10 ton load using a powder other than IMR3031 which is not available in Belgium.

The only load data I have is from Wal Winfers book on Westley Richards that shows a load of 52gr. of IMR3031and a 500 gr. bullet.

Is there any one here who loads for this cartridge who can provide load data?

I have genrated load data from Load From A Disk, but I find the program not very reliable.

what is with a load for the 10,3x60R swiss, this is a very similar cartridge(450/400 2 3/8) with same case length. there is loading data available for the swiss cartridge that may used for your round.
what will he take for brass, reformed 500NE base case or made from magtech 32 ga?

Thanks Kraut, the brass he is using is Kynoch 450 Musket #2 brass. I am using brass from Bertram marked 500/450 #2.

A close friend of mine here in Darwin loads the .450 #2 Musket cartridge for his marvellous little Tolley hammerless sidelock double. I'll contact him this evening, and toss up his recommendations.

Marrakai, any news from your friend? Not pushing you, just anxious to get the rifle back from the proof house... I'm the guy in Belgium with the proof house problem. If I cannot find any nitro pressure data, I will be obliged to go with the Load From A Disk data, which does make me a bit uncomfortable...
