Zimbabwe PHs

The only Phs I have seen in action, and talked to at campfires, are the PHs in Zimbabwe. They really are very good.
Apparently they have a pretty stringent training regime in all aspects of the industry, and are reputed to have the best system in the continent. Is this true? How different is it in places likle SA , Tanzania and Botswana ?

Basically it all comes down to experience and how the person is in otehr words does he have a talent for it or not you could be the best hunter in the world but being antisocial you will not be the best PH.

In RSA it takes 10 days and you could qualify to be a PH while in ZIM you have to go trough 2 years practical. I'm not saying that RSA ph's are not that good like I said if you have a telent for it and are good you would be good both in ZIM or any other country. BUt yes the ph's need that 2 years practical which gets rid of most of the guys who quickly wnat to become a ph which you can do in RSA.

The best way to get past it is to chat with the ph himself from that you will get a pretty good idea what type of person he is and if he will be good enough for you. The amount of papers behind a person doesn't say what the person is like only what he can do !
