Do you have any other information on this gun? Just going by the photo, my guess would be a continental gun laying on an Alex Henry case. Those rounded edge sight leaves, full rib and the sharp points to the side panels of the stock don't look very Alex Henry-ish to me. Never say never when it comes to vintage doubles of course.

Afraid not. Someone said it was a Rigby? But I used the case label. The calibre was named however. Source was an Indian sub-continent net friend.

It's a German rifle with the Muschelverschluss (Clamshell) action. Nothing like that ever came out of Scotland or elsewhere in Britain.

This, of course, is not the same rifle.
