Steve Irwin did play the danger card. I remember going to his zoo before he was famous and there was a huge old freshwater croc in a pond he was feeding. He had thrown in a pig leg and the old fella didn't move. He sent Terri in to get it and kept saying "look out Terri, hes gunna go ya". I don't think that croc had moved in about 5 years. I thought, "this guy is full of shit". Everyone else lapped it up. Same situation I guess.

Ha ha, Steve Urwin's programme was aimed and marketed at a USA audience.

He was pretty much completely unknown in Australia and the marketing here was "this guy is really famous and popular in the USA". He then became 'famous' here as well.

Watching him I agree with Huntingsneider, the bloke was a "cock knob" (new term for me

) and acted like a complete fool. Also a greenie anti. He is one of the main reasons why we have not succeeded in getting saltwater crocodile hunting approved and his greenie wife and ugly children.

Maybe when Urwin sent the "Terry" past the sleeping croc he was hoping to just a bit to be rid of the hag.
