Extraction problems can be caused by incorrect headspace, I would get a gunsmith to have a look at it.

I just noticed that some of the case necks split as well. Brand new (cheap) Winchester ammo. Before the gunsmith, I'm going to clean the chamber (which I should have done when I bought the rifle) and try a better brand of ammo. The chamber may have some dried up kunga in it from oil, etc. sitting around for the last 45 years. Like I said its basically a new rifle, but was made in 1968.
