NitroX,

From it's shape, my guess would be simular use to a machete. The shape also reminds me of some the machetes I saw used in Mauritius for cutting sugarcane many years ago.

Besides cutting small trees and bushes, or hacking your way thru the jungles of Congo, I wouldn't think there is much you could use it for in real life when it comes to hunting.
Unless you plan to chop up the animal into little pieces!

Am I right? If not, what's the correct answer?

I don't think machete, as the blade has the thin lower section and 'steps up' to the tip, looks like a stabbing blade, judging by the hilt and straight lower portion of the blade, but the tip appears to almost be for dressing/skinning doesn't it?

That's called a money knife.

Make a knife in some exotic shape, give it a mystical imaginary use. Advertise it to the right audience and make money.

But since a its a Puma and German it probably is a pig sticker.
