Hi all,

A few weeks ago I reactivated my NE account as I am feeling the need for hunting again, after having put it aside for years... One cannot go against one's nature, and hunter I am, hunter I will always be. I've had some years ago the opportunity to hunt cape buffalo, unique experience as everybody who has done it can testify, but I have always wanted to do the australian stuff as well. So I've been browsing the web, and carefully reading the advices on the forum, in search of a hunt. Wrote to a few outfitters with good reputation, only one answered me (probably the others were all busy already for this year...), and seems to be a very nice guy... And so we booked. I will be hunting first week of september with Barry Jones. Of course I am packing my .416, just in case, but the idea of taking a buff with my bow has made its way in my mind. I ordered some Ashbys broadheads and Easton Dangerous Game shafts, to build the heaviest arrows my bow can shoot, and as soon as I receive them I'll sight the bow in and start training every other day. My predator instinct has been sleeping for a time, but now I can feel it fully awake ! Can't wait...

You won't go wrong with Barry. I hunted with him in August last year and had a ball. Be prepared to put some weight on as Sonja is one of the best cooks around. Really lovely people, genuine, no BS and professional. Be prepared for a warm hunt as it was 37 degrees Celsius in August, you will see plenty of buffalo and if your into fishing the Bara should be biting

Always great to see one of the early members back.

Personally I think it would be great to see your stainless steel boar spear in use!

I have not hunted with Barry Jones myself but he has a good reputation.

Personally I think it would be great for me not to end up squashed against an eucalyptus
