Mauser Type A front reciver bridge checkering??
      #243729 - 13/03/14 01:59 PM

Aprox how many lines per inch is the checkering on the front reciver ring of Mauser Type A rifles?

Is it done in a flat top type checkering or is the checkering just worn down some on the examples I have seen pics of?

Allen

Here you go. By my count 36-40 lines per inch. Very fine lines and far from perfect certainly not what you would want if done on a stock in terms of workmanship but then you would not be doing them so fine on wood.

Hope this helps. PS: I have this photo at much greater definition which can be magnified without losing detail if useful to you. Could email if PM'd.
