Here are a few photos from my 2006 trip to Alaska with Ed Stevenson of Sheep River Hunting Camps.
I was hunting Brown Bear, but never got a shot at one. But I did take a Black Bear. More photos to come.

Black bear killed on the 12th day of my hunt. Spring came late that year and the bear didn't come down to feed until the last couple of days of the hunt.

The rifle I used was a Weatherby MKV in 375 H&H Mag.

I was using hand loaded 300 gr Swift A Frame Bullets.

Ed Stevenson and his Winchester 1886 45/70 carbine. He's killed many big brown bear with this rifle. He had been written about extensively in the pages of Rifle and Handloader magazines.
He was a joy to hunt with.
