Nice! If you don't handload and/or you have a surplus of cash.

I stick to Woodleigh solids and Swift A frame.

No Norma listed. I guess Norma did not pay for advertising at Petersens to be included.

For dangerous game around here, nothing beats a healthy does of lead - round and 500gr. of it - HA! just kidding - although I have absolutely no fear of the big bears when packing my 12 bore with ball loads - or my .375/06 with about any bullet I care to load.

Surprised Norma's not listed - I have some VERY nice 300gr. RN's- that shoot sub inch and run 2,470fps right along with the 300gr. Sierra's and Hornadys - same load.

Good to see a good selection of loaded ammo for big bores with proper bullets is now available for those not handloading.

Most of them are NOT available locally here though, probably because at the prices no one buys them, except maybe when first acquiring a rifle. I bought some loaded .404 ammo to use before handloads were built up.

BUT we will never see many of the NE rounds factory loaded except for a handfull of choices.

Just read an article earlier today stating there were more factory loads available today than ever for the 416 Remington..in fact Federal was coming out with another new load this year..also discussed how Remington has basically dropped the 416 as a caliber offered in any of their guns wiht the exception of the custom shop African Big Game, however Sako still offers one as well as several other manufacturers..

The big bores have made a substantial comeback over the years and the ammo companies want in on the profits of such. Think for the U.S. market the baby booomers have come of age..at or nearing retirement and are spending some of their savings before Barry and co get it in taxes and any othe welfare program they can dream up to keep them in office..

My reaction too, why not Norma, which is a mainstream dealer in France (probably in Europe too) for local games, and an absolutely must for African calibres. When I posted than my prefered bullets were Woodleighn solids (handloaded since the demise of PMC) and SWIFT A FRAME from Norma.

Now an explanation, what's this 375/06? Perhaps I could get an answer ..from the web, but I prefer your answer

Petersen's article is advertising masquerading as an article. Norma obviously did not pay for advertising.
