We all do!!!

Tim was NEVER going to hit that bull in the vitals ... that horn was just covering too much of it ... and the brain tells the arm to do things it shouldnt!!! Tim was thinking... stick it in the buffalo... and that's exactly what he did. Afterward he said "I couldnt believe I was so close but hit it so far back!!! hahaha... the mind plays tricks on you.

I believe we crawled after that bull for over two hours in the midday sun, before Tim got that shot....

I disagree. he doesn't throw like a girl,
nothing wrong with his action.

I used to do Javelin and also spear fish
with a hand spear and the way he threw it
gives good accuracy.

Of course Javelin, slightly different in arm up higher.

It isn't a girly throw.

I'm a high school Spear Chucker too, Nitro500 - set new Ontario records back in the '60's. Been a ball player (catcher) since I was 8 or 9 years old. I still think the hunter throws like a girl. That remains my opinion?

Daryl

What in his action shows he throws like a girl ?

Re Javelin, technique is slightly different as in straight arm
run up and wanting distance and trying to get it to "float".

I used to throw the javelin in High School and as an athletic sport it is completely different, a run up and a throw for distance. In ancient times it was used to throw into massed ranks of empty troops, not at particular individuals. I imagine skilled throwers could have done it with some accuracy.

Using a javelin for hunting is very different and requires a flatter throw with more accuracy. The elbow needs to be more bent or cocked than a long distance throw where the arm is fully extended at the point of beginning the throw.
