Rings & Base for my Ruger No. 1

Just purchased (another) Ruger No. 1 in .458 Lott. Intending to top it with a Swarovski Habicht Nova 1.5-4.5x20.
Question: What are the best base and rings? I want the quick-release kind. I'm thinking Warne? Any thoughts/opinions/advice is welcome!

Warne QR are what I use. The only issue is eye relief and LOP. My #1 s have longer LOP and for many scopes two Leupold extension rings work better.

So you're saying that you have a Warne QR base with Leupold extension rings? Since I'm new to this, I assume they all fit.

I just remember on my last #1 in 458 Lott, that whatever base I had on it didn't hold the scope and I ended up ruining a pretty nice Zeiss scope.

You only need rings as the quarter rib has integral bases.

It is mostly difficult getting the scope far enough rearward with the standard Ruger setup which is why some people us extension rings to bring the scope rearward, especially if the LOP has been increased.

Thanks Chris. I got some Warne medium 1RL rings that look like they'll do the job.

Update: put on the Warne rings and the scope. It really looks nice too! I'll try and post a couple of pics sometime.
