26 inch barrels!

I got an email from a fellow who told me that he had just ordered a Searcy double rifle in 450/400 3 inch! The icing on the cake was the fact that Butch now offers 26 in barrels on his 450/400 3 inch. ALRIGHTY!

Upgrade to chopper lump barrels and a splinter forearm. . . .
A little bit of heaven!

Hey, Mike. . . .Since you will be saving all that money now, could you float me a loan?

Hey Rusty,
I'm a bit of a fan of the 26's myself.
I've owned and used doubles with 23", 23 1/2" 24", 26" and 26 1/2".
The 26 to 26 1/2 inch are about the sweetest handling doubles I've used as far as big side by sides are concerned.

Different story for O/U's though.

Me too Alan! The longer barrels lend a certain "grace" to the rifle's personality!

I am a big fan of 26" barrels. I think 24" look a bit stubby.

I'm sure you will have a grand time there indeed.
One of these days I'll have to check it out.
I'm just about to head off in a few days time with my son, hunting and fishing in outback New South Wales for a while.
About 7 hours drive from my home.
They have had a LOT of rain there over Xmas but the landowner tells me there are quite a few pigs about.
I'm really looking forward to it.
Have fun in Dallas!
