Opening Day Morning

Opening Day in Texas is September 1st, - what August 12th is to Scotland.

Shooting begins at Sunrise.



I doubled on an incoming pair to open my season, but my average went down from there.



All morning long I watched this boy sitting with his dad across the field from where I was, and I thought that what I was witnessing was rather poignant, especially how he would run out and back to retrieve the birds.
