Someone told me a long time ago that the Star on the base was Italian Ammo.

This was when I had a discussion with an ammo collector
who tried to tell me it was original ammo - as in turn of the century !!!

You might try asking the ammo collectors forum or
do a search on Google.

Looks like a modern Cheddite hull. I say modern ammo produced by ???? in a small quantity. Most Hollands wouldn't regulate with a Westley loading and visa versa. The label is not "of the day".

Head stamp looks similar to these ca. 2008 the stars might be somewhat different.

An original label with warning ca.1910

Looks neat, but I haven't seen this before.
Wouldn't chamber one before I confirmed their nature.

I wouldn't chamber one until I checked the bore size
and bullet size.

As you can see in Graeme Wrights book, Paradox bore dimensions vary greatly.
