I always had Leica on the top of my list however based on this and some bino reviews I have seen it would appear that Swarovski is now the glass of choice. Any thoughts??

Rick:
When I was in Germany a few years, their consumer report had Leica #1 Zeiss #2 and Swarovski #3 I suppose that could have changed. I own both Leica & Zeiss bino's and would not change them for anything else, but a good spotting scope I don't have.

I have the Swarovski spotter from 2 years ago when I drew a Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep tag..incredible glass..I looked through several before buying it..imho, was the best glass at that price..while they are not cheap, figured over the course of a lifetime it will all average out..I just have to live longer to make it do so..

I also have Swarovski rifle scopes, along with Zeiss conquests (lower grade zeiss) , Leupold and a couple Schmidt Benders..of those the Schmidt Benders are the clearest with Swarovski second..I am not that impressed with the Zeiss conquests rifle scopes ..not all that bright and clear..in fact I would say the Leupolds are just as clear if not more so..which may be why Zeiss come out with the HD5 model now that is suppose to be "high definition"..and still around a $1000USD in cost..
