W.W. Greener 20 gauge, selective ejectors, tight on the face, bores perfect, hasn't been refurbished, absolutely no pitting inside or out just some small stain marks on the barrels, all ribs perfect, one barrel open and other marked choke which is quite easy to see when looking at muzzles, magnificent pointer. Not mine but wish it were. Is for sale, photoed it today and returned to owner. No idea of value.
Original case needs a little attention, top carry handle unstitched one end and so is carry strap which has been attached at front using a wrap around collar (no alteration to the bag itself with this fix)

I found this very rare Greener side lock. L70 12 gauge, which I think is one of the best guns they made...never been a big fan of their box locks with side safety, but certainly cannot fault their reliability and strength.

There was a better grade, you are correct, and I think it might be the L90. Not big on Greener, but can appreciate why they are popular.

Like you, I am not a great fan of them but the upper end
were very nice and all their guns were strong.

Not sure about the Facile Princeps though.
Don't like the short water table.

I used to think the same but I think it is largely an optical illusion due to the waist in the bar of the Facile Princeps.
I measured the three doubles I had handy and found the following water table lengths measured from the standing breech face to the ledge which lines up to the center of the hinge pin.

W.R. 400/350 = 1.83"
Greener 360No.2 = 2.03"
Springer 8X57R = 2.15"

I always preferred the looks of a long bar and there are good reasons for a longer radius from the hinge to the breech face - one being that a longer radius requires fewer degrees of opening for the ejected shells to clear the top of the fences so, in theory, a quicker reload.
Another, similarly, is that cartridges of larger rim diameter can be extracted with fewer degrees of barrel drop with a longer bar.
There is also some theory that a longer radius from hinge to breech resists the forces of opening the action upon firing but I think that is pretty much negated with two bites on the lumps and a third bite of some sort so is probably a moot point.
