Remington 7600 max Cartridge?

Hey guys,

So I've had quite a few .458 SOCOM cases laying around waiting for the day that I have made something for them to go through. Want something short and fast, and liking the idea of the Remington pump. Does anyone know if this cartridge will "fit"?

Or if anyone owns one can they take some measurements and perhaps a smith here can advise if no ones really sure.

Ash, have a gander at www.lumleyarms.com
There an Australian firearm parts manufacturing business that make Barrel Bracket (barrel extension) for the Remington 7600/7615 rifle. The thing about these brackets is, you can have a series of barrels and brackets, so you can Switch from one to another as long as they have the same case head diameter (.243, .260, 7mm-08, .308, .270, .30-06, .35 Whelen etc or .223Rem, .300Whisper/AAC.300B/Out etc)!

This "Switch Barrel" arrangement, turns this humble Pump Gun into quite the versatile all rounder!
Jut remember to tell the authorities about the extra barrels (just so you can clog up their Non-Functional Registry System, with some additional useless information)!!!

FYI, I have two of their Rem 700 DBM (Detachable Box Magazine), bottom metal units (for .223 & .308), and they are a very well thought out/designed and made bit of equipment!

Hope that helps (and hasn't put you in the Poor House (as well as the Dog House), for another month or two)!

Thanks Homer! Was hoping someone would chime in with that company - couldn't recall it's name and which thread it was originally posted in.
Will check it out. .308 and .458 SOCOM would be a fun pair.
